The hunting season opened on 2nd October 2013.

An appeal was made for persons to use their discretion, when hunting wildlife during the hunting season.

Forestry Officer with responsibility for Law Compliance and Enforcement, Bradford Latham, made the appeal during the 'Face to Face'  program aired on NBC Radio.

The hunting season for various animals, including manicou, agouti and iguana, runs from  1st October to 31st January.

Mr. Latham said that it is important that persons conduct hunting activities within the law to avoid a depletion of the various species.  He also emphasised the importance of safety when conducting hunting activities.
