An Agricultural official from Guyana is highlighting the importance of organic farming, which he said will provide a sustainable farm environment for the farmers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Ministry of Agriculture is embarking on a national thrust to encourage local farmers to use organic products for their bananas and other crops.

The officials have been carrying out farm visits so that they can analyse the ground situation before introducing the Health 2000 agro products.

Head of Agricultural Operations at Health 2000 in Guyana, Christopher Persaud said that the farmers can receive major benefits using the new technology.
