Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural Transformation, Hon. Saboto Caesar, said that this country received several hundred animals from Jamaica, which have been purchased under the Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM), project.

He said that this is as a direct result of the very successful Twenty-point – One Hundred Days agricultural plan, which was launched in April of this year, and climaxed in July.

The Minister said that under the BAM project sheds have been constructed for banana farmers and they currently have fertilizer in the state to be distributed to farmers, among other programs.

Minister Caesar added that the animals received from Jamaica will be distributed to farmers, as well as to boost the nucleus herd at Orange Hill.
