Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural Transformation, Hon. Saboto Caesar, said that the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), is currently providing assistance for the establishment of a Land Bank Register, as the Land Bank Program is currently developing under the 20-point 100-day agricultural plan, which has been very successful thus far.

Minister Caesar said that a sub-regional Land Bank project is also being developed, while many persons have been contacting the Ministry of Agriculture for use of lands under the Land Bank Project.

It is expected that this will lift agricultural production going forward, particularly as persons are interested in cocoa and coffee production.
